I, _________________________, [or my minor child] will be participating in
the 2015 Texas Tech Homecoming Parade.
I am aware that by participating in the 2015 Texas Tech Homecoming Parade,
I [or my minor child] may be exposed to possible personal injury as well as
possible damage to my [or my minor child’s] property. I agree to assume full
responsibility for my [or my minor child’s] safety and the safety of my [or my
minor child’s] property while participating in the Homecoming Parade. I also
assume full responsibility while in transit to and from the Homecoming Parade.
I understand that liability insurance must be provided for any vehicle used in the
Homecoming Parade and that neither Texas Tech University nor any of its
officers, agents or employees will be liable for damage occurring to any vehicle
used in the Homecoming Parade.
In consideration for my [or my minor child’s] participation in the
Homecoming Parade, I agree to release and hold harmless Texas Tech
University, its Board of Regents, and all officers, agents, and employees of
Texas Tech University, including Student Union & Activities and the Tech
Activities Board, from all liability arising from personal injury or property
damage.
This agreement shall also serve as a release and an assumption of risk for my [or
my minor child’s] heirs, executors and administrators, and for all members of my
[or my minor child’s] family. Jurisdiction and venue of this matter shall lie in
Lubbock, Lubbock County, Texas.
I, the undersigned, have read the Release and Hold Harmless Agreement and agree to its terms.
