A motion was made by David Weinberg and seconded by Gopal Lakhani to approve the minutes from the 5th meeting of the Graduate Council held on Thursday, February 4, 2010. The vote was 1 in favor and 10 disapprove. After a brief discussion a second motion was made by Gary Elbow and seconded by Brian Zugay to not make any substantive changes in the current catalog statement. The vote was 10 in favor and 1 disapprove. VII. Announcements: Rahul Kanungoe announced that the Graduate School Senators have been invited to attend a Big 12 conference at Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The conference will be completely Graduate School based. The Graduate Council adjourned at 3:45 p.m. The next Graduate Council meeting will be Thursday, April 1, 2010.
