RE: Resolution to honor Dr. John M. Burns
Faculty Senate Meeting 4-13-2011 # 305
Whereas
Dr. John Burns has served Texas Tech University in multiple
offices since 1969,
and
Whereas
His service as Chair, Dean, and Provost, among other roles, has
been marked by honor, loyalty, and dedication to the university
and its teaching and research missions,
and
Whereas
His ongoing leadership has earned the abiding respect and
gratitude of the faculty,
Therefore, be it resolved that
We, the members of the TTU Faculty Senate, gratefully
acknowledge his longstanding service, many contributions, and
caring compassion, and wish him a happy retirement.
