OP 76.07:
Flying Unmanned Aircraft Systems on Texas Tech Property

PURPOSE: The purpose of this Operating Policy/Procedure (OP) is to establish a policy regarding
the use of unmanned aircraft systems on Texas Tech property.
REVIEW:
This OP will be reviewed in May of every fourth year by the Chief of Police with
substantive revisions forwarded to the Office of University Counsel so that this
policy/procedure is in compliance with Chapter 423 of the Texas Government Code
and the Federal Aviation Administration laws and guidelines.
POLICY/PROCEDURE
Flying unmanned aircraft systems of any type on all property belonging to Texas Tech is prohibited
unless prior approval has been granted by the Texas Tech chief of police.
