Course progression map for 2016 commencing students
This progression map provides advice on the suitable sequencing of units and guidance on how to plan unit enrolment for each semester of study. It
does not substitute for the list of required units as described in the course 'Requirements' section of the Handbook.
C2000 Bachelor of Information Technology
The placement of units may be rearranged to provide flexibility in choice of elective units and to support
sequencing for double degree courses but care should be taken to ensure sequenced units are maintained
in sequence.
Students who wish to use their free electives to take a major from another faculty should consider whether
it is necessary to reschedule their IT units to free up the required number of electives at each year level.
Please refer to the Handbook entry for the requirements of the relevant major.

additional elective information technology units to bring your overall total of credit points for IT units to at least 96 points. For
students completing the double degree with Secondary education these elective units must be mathematics. In choosing electives
you must ensure that you complete no more than 10 level-one units, and that you complete at least 36 points of study at level 3.
