ACS6000 SKU End-of-Life Announcement - Update
Effective Date: April 1, 2014
Update Information
Due to unplanned inventory volumes, the EOL date for the current ACS6000 SKUs has shifted from January 31, 2014 to April 1,
2014 for all Geos.
Operations is working to manage the inventory transition by planning to overlap volumes of both product. Please note the
following new conditions that will apply:
1. As of April 1, 2014, the ACS6000 product SKUs (listed in the table below) will move to EOL status.
2. The new SKUs will be available on price lists starting April 1, 2014.
3. Once in EOL status, maintenance can be sold on that product SKU for one year after last sale date. This is an exception
for this product due to the product change being a minor hardware change only.
4. New orders for the new ACS6000 SKUs will be accepted through April 1, 2014 and maintenance orders will be accepted through April 1, 2015.
5. All products will be supported through the warranty period or through the maintenance obligations.
Sales will need to provide as much visibility as possible on any new large orders that will be happening over the next 30-90
days. It may make sense to start a customer on the new –G2 SKUs earlier than April 1, 2014, but that will be managed on an
individual basis. Forecasting this demand in sf.com is the best way to make sure your customer orders will be handle in the most
effective manner.
