4th Year Benchmarks: Minimum of 122 hours completes, twelve(15 hours) additional English Coursework (min of 6 hrs. EH @ 4XX, 6 hrs @ 3XX-4XX, 3 hrs @ any level) one additional "W" writing intensive
course, minimum of additional 9 hours of MNR coursework, minimum of additional 15 hours upper-level (3XX-4XX) coursework.
At least five courses ( 15 hours) of creative writing coursework from: EH 391-396, EH 484-488, EH 497, and EH 498.

*Students who earn an English ACT score of 27, or a written SAT score of 550, can opt out of EH 101.
** Must have one history elective and one literature elective. In addition, students must choose a second history or literature to complete a two-part sequence. For English-Creative Writing
majors, a literature sequence is recommended.
All Arts and Sciences majors require a minor between 18 and 24 hours. This plan incorporates an 18 hour minor.
Two designated writing (W) courses are required with at least one course chosen from offerings in the student's major or minor. Courses carrying this required credit are identified in the University Bulletin by
a (W) after the course title.
