Online Student Evaluation
of Teaching FAQ for Students
Who participates?
Evaluations are sent to all students in participating colleges/schools and departments.
How do I access the evaluation (using any computer or mobile device)?
Evaluations can be accessed in two ways:
1. Student (jagmail) email accounts. You will receive a separate email for each course.
Note to USA employees/former employees: Evaluations are sent to your student email
account not your work email.
2. Links via USA online (My WorkSpace)
How do I obtain a Certificate of Completion?
Submit the evaluation:
1. The certificate of participation will pop-up as a pdf (pop-up blocker must be disabled) or
2. You will receive an email with the certificate of participation attached.
When?
Last 2 – 3 weeks of the semester. Students receive email reminders every three days during
the evaluation period.
Problems?
If you are having any problems accessing the evaluations, email: ccadmin@southalabama.edu.
Be sure to include your name, email address, course and section numbers.
1. No email received: Check your spam and trash folders.
2. Didn’t receive a certification of completion: Make sure the popup blocker is disabled.

3. Deleted email: Students receive an email reminder every three days during the
evaluation period.
4. Missed deadline: Evaluations cannot be completed after the deadline.

How can I get my results?
This is determined by the department and college/school. If you don’t receive your results from
Class Climate within the first month of the next semester, see your Dean or department chair.
Can I give students incentives for participation?
This is up to the individual instructor. Class Climate has two options to track participation:
Participation Tracking Report or Certificate of Completion. Email ccadmin@southalabama.edu
if you would like to implement one of these option or for further information.
