Research Scientist, College of Forest Resources, University of Washington
● Develop a spatio-temporal model to address the impacts of forest management scenarios
on vegetation composition and fire hazard on the Okanogan-Wenatchee National Forest
in Washington State.
● Assist with the collection of field data for fuels and fire behavior projects.
2006-present
Research Associate, School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, Yale University
● Write and manage research grants to investigate fire ecology and behavior of boreal
forests in Alaska. Responsibilities include submitting grant proposals, managing project
budgets, hiring and supervision of personnel, design and execution of field studies,
coordination with research cooperators, data analysis, and knowledge transfer.
2004-2006
Teaching Assistant, School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, Yale University
● Taught classes, graded assignments, scheduled field trips, and held office hours for
classes in fire ecology, forest finance, and forest health.
2002-2003

● Participated in fire research designed to provide data for prescribed fire modeling
programs and fuels management projects.
