LOOKING FOR SOMETHING TO ENHANCE YOUR ADVENT On December 16th at 11:15 in the Parish Center living room, there will be a discussion of the book The Glorious Impossible by Madeleine L'Engle. According to reviewer Shirley Wilton, "Inspired Christian belief and high Christian art resonate in this beautiful volume as L'Engle retells twenty-five of the events of Jesus' life and ministry. The tone of the retelling is full of joy; the drama is explained as the 'Glorious Impossible' that faith accepts and knows as truth. Giotto's frescoes are reproduced with clarity and richness of color. The text and the pictures fit so well together that L'Engle's words enhance the appreciation of Giotto's art, and the magnificence of the frescoes illuminates the Christian story." Please join us on December 16th and share your reactions to these stories of Jesus' life. 3.
