OUTREACH MINISTRIES SPRING/SUMMER CLOTHING DRIVE: Thank you for your many donations to last weekend’s clothing drive. The donations will go a long way in assisting the many Guests who look to St. Francis House for these basic needs. To learn more about the many works of SFH, go to: www.stfrancishouse.org. WALK FOR HUNGER WRAP-UP: Last Sunday was a glorious day – weather-wise and outreach-wise for St. Ignatius. More than seventy-five TEAM IGNATIUS members walked several different routes and raised more than twice the TEAM goal of $2,500. A big thanks to the families, friends and parish family members who supported the Walkers! Together, we are making a difference by supporting Project Bread’s fresh approach to ending hunger. Please go to www.projectbread.org to see just how your donation will be put to use. And remember, Project Bread is more than just the “home” of the Walk for Hunger. It’s an everyday antihunger organization that can benefit from your support all through the year. 2. AN AT-HOME RETREAT FROM THE SPIRITUAL LIFE COMMISSION As a parish community, we have journeyed from the Holy Ground of Lent, through the Easter season, which will bring us to Pentecost next week. Over the past 32 weeks, a group of thirty parishioners has been journeying with St. Ignatius' Spiritual Exercises Retreat in Everyday Life. They will complete their journey with their last gathering on Pentecost Sunday. You are invited to accompany this group on the "last mile" of the retreat as they contemplate our ongoing life in the Spirit. Where is the Spirit at work in your life? Join us for a week of prayer and reflection as we seek to follow and trust the lead of the Spirit at work in our everyday lives. To participate, simply carve out some space for prayer in the coming week. Open each daily prayer time with the grace for which we pray this week. Read the daily scripture passage and consider the reflection question for the day. Notice what emerges for you over the movement of the week. Know that you are not traveling alone, but have many companions on this road seeking life in the Spirit. THE GRACE I SEEK: I pray for the following grace: a deepening awareness of the presence, power, and movement of the Spirit in my life. Daily Prayer for the Week of May 13th-May 19th: Monday, May 13th Isaiah 43: 19-21 (The Spirit that makes all things new) Reflection Question: What are you noticing that feels "new" in your life? Tuesday, May 14th Isaiah 11: 1-2 (The gifts of the Spirit include wonder and awe in God's presence) Reflection Question: What are you noticing in the natural world these days that speaks to you of the wonder and awe of God's presence? Wednesday, May 15th First Corinthians 12: 4-27 (The Gifts of the Spirit) Reflection Question: What have you discovered lately about the way in which God's gifts are given to you and to others? Thursday, May 16th Acts 2: 1-24, 37-47 (The Coming of the Spirit) Reflection Question: Through the coming of the Spirit, we share in the mission of Jesus' earliest companions. How does confidence in the Spirit's presence and action free you to take courageous steps in your everyday life? Friday, May 17th Ephesians 4: 1-7, 11-13 (The Spirit calls us to co-labor in unity) Reflection Question: There is work to be done! How does it feel to know that you will be empowered by the Spirit of God to carry out your personal vocation? Saturday, May 18th Romans 8:14-27 (Living in the Spirit) Reflection Question: The Spirit enlivens and encourages us when we feel hopeless. Can you recall a time when you have "groaned within yourself ?” How has the Spirit led you to a place of hope? Sunday, May 19th John 14: 16-31 (Jesus' promise to send the Spirit: "with you always") Reflection Question: How are you currently experiencing the consoling peace of the promise "with you always"?
