ONE BOOK, ONE PARISH Many of us in the parish were so moved by Pope Francis' Joy of the Gospel that the Pastoral Council decided it would like to invite the whole parish to read it together over the next five months. The second Sunday of each month will be Joy of the Gospel Sunday and we will be facilitating conversations among parishioners about the different sections of the document. We expect that they will take place following the liturgies. On Sunday November 23 at 2:00 pm we will have an inaugural event of music, dance, and reflections from Staff and parishioners. We will be featuring parish musicians, Paul Melley, Tmothy Zimmermann, Michelle Abadia, Luis Garmarra and others who fill us with JOY through their gifts. We are especially blessed to have Owen Young, cellist with the BSO and one of our parishioners, as a special guest performer. The event will be followed by a wine and cheese reception. We invite you to join other parishioners on November 23 to celebrate the feast of Christ the King of the Universe and The Joy of the Gospel. RD RD You can purchase copies of The Joy of the Gospel from the USSCB website or from Amazon. You can also download a free copy from the Vatican website. We also have created a page on Facebook where you can add comments about the document as we read it together. Here is the link: https://www.facebook.com/StIggysBC 1.
