have given so generously to support our parish. If you were unable to contribute last weekend and wish
to make a pledge to the Catholic Appeal, please take a pledge form from the back of the church. You can
also make a pledge online at www.bostoncatholicappeal.org. Thank you for your support and for
helping us reach our parish goal.
LENTEN EVENING PRAYER We are celebrating Evening Prayer every Monday evening in Lent. Evening Prayer features simple
singing, prayer and meditation at 7:15 pm on March 9th and 16th. There will be a Reconciliation service
on March 23rd and an evening with The Boston Liturgical Dance Ensemble on Monday of Holy Week,

BOOK DISCUSSION
On March 22 at 11:15, there will be a discussion of the book Signs: Seven Words of Hope by Jean Vanier.
An Amazon reviewer suggests, “If you are lookng at your life and thinking: I want to be who God made
me to be, I want to make a difference with my life, you need to read this book, and pray on it. Pray on it
very much. And then ask yourself: Can I be that humble?” Plan to join us in the living room of the
Parish Center on March 22 and give us your reaction to this book.
CONFIRMING FAITH – Topic: Jesus, Face of God, Save Us!
Dr. Brian Robinette will help us understand more about Jesus and his role in salvation. If you are a
baptized Catholic and would like to be a full member of the Catholic Church by completing the
Sacraments of Initiation, now is the time to get started. Confirming Faith continues on Sundays 3:305pm. Confirming Faith is open to anyone who wants to learn more about his/her faith. In particular,
Catholic adults who wish to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation this year (April 26) are especially
invited. Classes will meet from 3:30 - 5pm in the Friary Room for seven weeks. For more information, to
answer questions and to register call/email/message Diana Gaillardetz (diana.gaillardetz@bc.edu, 419290-7101 or the Parish Office).

The civil war in Syria has killed more than 100,000 people since the
violence began in March 2011. Nearly 3 million Syrians have fled their country since the
civil war began. Half of these refugees are children. It is estimated that 4.5 million
Syrians have fled their homes and are displaced within Syria. An estimated 1 million
Syrian refugees are currently living in Lebanon. In coordination with Church partners,
CRS is providing lifesaving assistance to 150,000 Syrian refugees across the Middle East.

YOGA BASICS FOR BEGINNERS 9:00-10:15 AM
Have you ever wanted to try yoga but have been intimidated by fast paced, more advanced classes or
think you need to be more “flexible” before you even try? Come to this Yoga Basics class taught by
experienced yoga instructor, Liz Padula. Liz has been practicing yoga since 1994 and recently completed
the well-respected 200 hour YogaWorks training.
Beginners can explore and start their yoga practice in a supportive, friendly, low-key way. Learn
fundamental asana poses with a strong focus on alignment mixed in with some flow so you can build
strength while relaxing your mind. Leave your “to-do” list at home and come join us with a yoga
mat. You’ll leave feeling relaxed and refreshed. If you have any questions about the format of the class,
please contact Liz at lizpadula@gmail.com. The Program will be held at the BC Brighton Dance Studio at
2115 Commonwealth Ave. (across the street from BC, on the School of Theology and Ministry campus).

La Página Hispana
Queridos Parroquianos,

Room, Lower Church. The cost is $11.00, which includes a commentary, study guide and DVD
presentation of the study. New members are always welcome. To register, you may call the Parish
