Cognition & Culture:
My research interests focus on the relationship between meaning and action at various levels of
analysis. More specifically, my work lies at the intersection of cognitive and cultural processes
particularly in how actors use cultural resources to cultivate meaning drawing from theories in
cultural sociology as well as those that center around sensemaking, sensegiving, symbolization,
and categorization.
