A&S- Sociology Pre-Approved Courses Many courses are selected by the academic departments and interdisciplinary programs as "Pre-Approved," meaning that students are not required to have a Course Substitution form signed by faculty for permission to take the course as a major/minor/University Core requirement. Only courses offered through BC programs can be pre-approved (no externals). Deciding whether or not a course is pre-approved is completely up to the department/program. With department/program permission, these courses are posted on the OIP website.
