The Bruce McCall Endowed Memorial Scholarship
Fund for Paralegal Studies is an opportunity for
students enrolled in the USA Special Courses Paralegal Studies Certificate Program. The scholarship
was established to assist students at the University
of South Alabama who demonstrate high academic
achievement.
The Bruce McCall Endowed Memorial Scholarship
has been established in memory of the late Bruce
McCall, a paralegal who was well-respected in the
Mobile legal community. The scholarship gift was
made by Debra McCall, Bruce McCall’s former
wife and USA alumna, and Chris Dennis, McCall’s
son, also a USA alumnus.
Their gift was matched by the University to create
an endowment to fund a scholarship in the Paralegal Studies certificate program offered through the
USA Center for Continuing Education and Conference Services. The first scholarship was awarded in Fall 2006.
Eligible students must have completed a minimum
of three courses from the University of South
Alabama’s Special Courses Paralegal Studies Certificate Program curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 or
higher.
