Offered Through The Bruce McCall Endowed Memorial Scholarship Fund for Paralegal Studies is an opportunity for students enrolled in the USA Special Courses Paralegal Studies Certificate Program. The scholarship was established to assist students at the University of South Alabama who demonstrate high academic achievement. The Bruce McCall Endowed Memorial Scholarship has been established in memory of the late Bruce McCall, a paralegal who was well-respected in the Mobile legal community. The scholarship gift was made by Debra McCall, Bruce McCall’s former wife and USA alumna, and Chris Dennis, McCall’s son, also a USA alumnus. Their gift was matched by the University to create an endowment to fund a scholarship in the Paralegal Studies certificate program offered through the USA Center for Continuing Education and Conference Services. The first scholarship was awarded in Fall 2006. Eligible students must have completed a minimum of three courses from the University of South Alabama’s Special Courses Paralegal Studies Certificate Program curriculum with a GPA of 3.0 or higher. Applications deadline for the 2015-2016 scholarship is Friday, July 3, 2015 at 5 p.m. Scholarships will be awarded to currently enrolled students of the USA Center for Continuing Education Paralegal Studies program, who, after a minimum of three classes, have a GPA of 3.0 or higher.
