Due to the resignation of Jilani Warsi from the Curriculum Committee, Dr. Maurizio Santoro
from the department of Foreign Languages and Literatures was nominated and approved by
e-mail by the members of the Committee on Committees on 8/11.
Due to the resignation of Emily Tai from the Curriculum Committee position, Professor Kenneth
Pearl from the History department was nominated and approved by e-mail by the members of the
Committee on Committees on 8/11.
Due to the resignation of Professor Georgia McGill from the Assessment Committee, Dr.
Dimitrios Kokkinos from the department of Physics was nominated and approved by e-mail by

Due to the resignation of Professor Kimberly Bugg from the Committee on Awards and

The Slate for the Standing Committees of the Academic Senate for 2012-2013 was sent to all
faculty and staff on March 28th, 2012 along with a nomination petition with a return date of
April 4th, 2012 at 3pm. The Slate was presented to the Academic Senate on April 17th, 2012 and
was approved. Resignations with re-appointments are included for completeness. Steering

Academic Senate Elections 2012-13
In accordance with the Bylaws of the Academic Senate, the Committee on Committees
conducted elections to fill the representation on the Academic Senate: 13 positions for Faculty
Member-At Large, 1 position for Computer Lab Technician (CLT), 2 positions for HEO’s and
2 positions for Adjunct faculty.
The number of eligible voters in each case were:
Faculty – 327, CLT – 89, HEO – 127, Adjunct Faculty – 585
The 2012-13 results of the Academic Senate are as follows. Run-offs took take place in the April
Academic Senate meeting.
