1. Go to the University of South Alabama Homepage. 2. Select “Memberships” in the top-right corner and select the organization you are submitting a request for (e.g., If you are the Treasurer of the “Go Jags! Club”, you will click on “Go Jags! Club”). 3. Once you are at your organization’s portal, click on “More” on the navigation bar and select “Treasury” from the drop-down menu. If you do not see the “Treasury” option, please go to pg. 17 for directions to gain access. 4. Select “Manage Budget” 5. Select “New Budget” 6. Type a description of your budget request in the “Budget Name” space provided. 7. Select which category you are requesting funds from and provide a brief description on what you are requesting. 8. Next, a questionnaire will appear. Please answer questions regarding your request. 9. Add “line-item” requests with descriptions. Please type in the amount you are requesting for each item in the adjacent box. 10. Upload all supporting documentation in the “Upload Documents” section and provide any additional comments in the space provided. Also, you must upload an email from your advisor approving the funds requested to the “Upload documents” section. However, you can submit your request and come back before the deadline to add attachments to your request. Make sure all documentation is uploaded in ONE document. See SGA Resources on the USA Website for this template packet. 12. If you have completed the form, please press “Submit.” 13. Repeat steps 1-4 to check on the status of your request after you submit it or to add attachments to your request. Important Information and Dates By the Appropriations Deadline, make sure you have your documentation uploaded or you will not be eligible for appropriations from SGA! The Fall 2015 Appropriations Deadline is Monday,September 14, 2015. Appropriations Committee Hearings will be scheduled at the earliest convenience of organizations being heard. The Fall 2015 Appropriations w ill be approved by the SGA Senate on Monday, September 28, 2015. To submit a request, you must be given permission by the organization admin. The administrator must do the following in order for you to gain access: 1. Select “Settings” on your organization portal and click on “Organization settings.” 2. Select “Permissions” on the navigation panel located on the right side. Scroll down the page to the “Budgets” section. Select “Manage” by the Officer Board. 4.
