Attendance: Rebecca Sanderson, Maureen Cochran, Melissa Yamamoto, Kami Hammerschmith,
Kent Sumner, Jo Alexander, Ben Wessel, Tina Clawson, Ruth Sterner, Eric Hansen & Dave Craig
Council members enjoyed some treats, coffee and tea before having a discussion.
Scope, Efficiency & Impact: The discussion about how Student Affairs departments can integrate
scope, efficiency and impact metrics into their practices continued from the previous Assessment
Council meeting. Specifically, the discussion focused on brainstorming how departments such as
Student Media, the Memorial Union, and other departments whose metrics are slightly more difficult to
define can integrate these data points into their “departmental highlights” report to Larry in the
summer. Rebecca is investigating changes in format so that information is gathered in a way that it
can be used for accreditation, the annual report to the Provost, and reports to other constituencies at
OSU and beyond.
