Who is Illinois International Programs?
Illinois International Programs is at the nexus of all global activities and international studies at
the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign—simultaneously serving as the administrative,
programmatic, and strategic unit responsible for the vast array of international activities that
Illinois is involved in, both on campus and abroad.

Global Education and Training provides a gateway to expertise at Illinois and transformative
learning experiences for partners from around the world through high-quality training programs.
Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange
Illinois Abroad and Global Exchange provides exceptional study abroad experiences through
academically and professionally integrated pathways for Illinois students, faculty, and staff.
International Business Operations
International Business Operations provides human resource, grant, and financial administrative
services for the units, programs, and centers of Illinois International.
International Safety and Security
The Office of International Safety and Security sets and maintains the standards and protocol for
pre-departure training and on-going safety needs for those participating in international activities
with the University on a 24/7 basis.
International Student and Scholar Services
International Student and Scholar Services serves our international population and campus units
through advising, immigration services, programming, advocacy, and outreach.
Illinois Strategic International Partnerships
Illinois Strategic International Partnerships facilitates, coordinates, negotiates, and manages
collaborative activities and partnerships with partner institutions and agencies based outside the
United States.
