Removed from Computer Resources Committee, creating a vacancy. Professor Thorsen was also chairperson of this committee, so his absence necessitates the election of a new chairperson.

Ansani, Antonella FOREIGN LANG Removed from Committee on Committees, creating a vacancy due to her being on leave for 2007-08. 2007-08 was to be the third and final year of her term on the Committee on Committees.
As per the Academic Senate Bylaws, 1 Dr. Ansani’s replacement will be elected by the members of the Academic Senate.

1 Bylaws of the Academic Senate, ARTICLE VII, Section 5b: “Vacancies on the Committee on Committees shall be filled for the unexpired term by an election of the
Academic Senate. "
 The Steering Committee has informally recommended several individuals. Of these recommendations, one (1) individual, listed below, was both eligible and willing to fill the current vacancy on the Committee on Committees. The Committee on Committees will conduct an election at today’s Academic Senate meeting to fill the vacancy.
