Financial Aid Services
To support students in achieving their educational goals by assisting them in obtaining
financial assistance through federal, state, institutional and private grant, scholarship, loan,
employment and payment plan programs. To support the institution by maintaining
compliance with all federal and state regulatory policies and procedures governing the
student financial aid programs.

- Inform students and the campus community regarding the
various forms of financial assistance available. - Promote the
importance of applying for financial aid by the appropriate
deadlines in insure the timely processes of student awards.

- Continue to maintain the proper federal and state student aid
compliance standards. - Train all staff members regarding all
regulatory updates.

- Continue to provide customer service to a high number of
students via in-person, telephone and e-mail. - CUNYfirst training
has been provided to all Financial Aid staff so they are better
equiped to resolve student inquiries, with limited referrals.

service area.
- Review the
phone call
logs and
office e-mail
account.
Technology
- Continue to leverage the new CUNYfirst student information
system to provide information and on-line services to students
regarding their financial aid application and status of their awards.
- Expand the web-based processing services used by students.
