Institutional Advancement
The Office of Institutional Advancement supports the College’s goals and priorities,
including faculty research and teaching and learning, through comprehensive fundraising
and support services including marketing, publications, public and media relations, special
events, grants, external affairs and the Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center and
Archives, Art Gallery and Performing Arts Center. Marketing and Communications
provides an integrated approach to the marketing, advertising and promotion of efforts for
all academic, administrative and student-related programs, projects and events.
Sponsored Programs is the centralized entity for coordinating the submission, processing
and reporting of all College grants and contracts, providing technical assistance to faculty,
staff and administration for projects that further the mission and goals of the College.
Institutional Advancement efforts broadly focus on cultivating individuals, alumni,
corporations and private foundations to promote and secure funding for: scholarships;
enhancing the student learning experience; faculty research; and the Art Gallery,
Kupferberg Holocaust Resource Center and Archives (KHRCA) and Performing Arts
Center (QPAC). The unified mission of the KHRCA, Art Gallery and QPAC is to take the
cultural aspects of the subject areas they represent and transform them into social insights
and actions of the part of the diverse students and communities that Queensborough
Community College services.
