Creating/Editing an Email Signature for the Tobacco-Free Campaign Before you begin, Click then Right-Click on one of these two images and select “Copy Image” If you have Outlook 2010 skip to page 2 OUTLOOK 2007: Setting your email format to HTML IMPORTANT NOTE: For a signature to contain an image you must have your email format set to HTML – if necessary, please do this first. 1. Open Outlook and select “Options” from the “Tools” menu 2. Select the “Mail Format” tab 3. If necessary, change your message format to “HTML” OUTLOOK 2007: Creating or Editing a Signature To create a new signature or edit an existing one for the Tobacco-Free Campaign, do the following: 4. If it’s not already open, open Outlook and select “Options” from the “Tools” menu 5. Select the “Mail Format” tab 6. Click the “Signatures” button 7. To create a new signature click “New” and make up a name for the signature 8. Click the signature’s name 9. For a new signature click in the edit window and type and format the text OUTLOOK 2007: Adding the Tobacco-Free Logo to Your Signature 10. Click where you want the Tobacco-Free Logo to appear, usually at the bottom of your signature 11. Paste the Tobacco-Free Logo into your signature OUTLOOK 2007: Add a signature to a message 12. Set New Messages and Replies/Forwards to the name of your signature 13. In the new e-mail window, in the Include group, click “Signature”, and then click “Signatures” 7. To create a new signature click “New” and make up a name for the signature 8. Click the signature’s name 9. For a new signature click in the edit window and type and format the text OUTLOOK 2010: Adding the Tobacco-Free Logo to Your Signature 14. Click where you want the Tobacco-Free Logo to appear, usually at the bottom of your signature 15. Paste the Tobacco-Free Logo into your signature OUTLOOK 2010: Add a signature to a message 16. Set New Messages and Replies/Forwards to the name of your signature 17. To finish, click OK, and then close the dummy email message All new emails will carry the Tobacco-Free Logo 2
