The V-Day Movement, started by renowned playwright Eve Ensler, is a global activist movement to end violence against women and girls. Throughout the month of February, V-Day events are held throughout the country and globe to promote awareness, education, and activism. V-Day brings the issue of violence against women and girls front and center in our communities and the culture at large. ! On February 14th, 2012, V-Day launched the One Billion Rising campaign, a call to action against the staggering reality that one third of women will experience violence or abuse during her lifetime.
