Introduction
Welcome to the Training Registration on the West Virginia Department of Education CNP web site. CNP
specializes in software solutions for Nutrition Program management.
Web Site Benefits and Features
The CNP system is a menu-driven, graphical user-interface with comprehensive maintenance utilities
allowing online submission and approval of documents and claims via the Internet by State Agency
personnel and Sponsor users. Other key system features are:
•
Through a single interface, information regarding sponsors, applications, claims, reports, and
advances is managed.
•
A single database works behind the scene to combine core information that can be utilized
across the child nutrition programs.
•
Partially completed documentation can be saved on-line, allowing the user to complete the
process at a later time.
•
User access to the programs is via login ID and password. User access to functionality within
the system is assigned by Security Groupings, with all user access administered by State
Agency personnel.
User Manual
This user manual is intended for use by Sponsors. It is designed to provide a general understanding of how
to use the CNP web site to register for training. To achieve this objective this manual will provide you
with:
• A general explanation of each feature available
•
Screen examples of web site pages and forms
•
Step-by-step instructions for utilizing the web site features
•
Tips and Notes highlighted in gray to enhance your understanding of the system

Training Registration
The training registration process allows existing Sponsors to view the available Training sessions and
locations being offered by the West Virginia Department of Education and register online.

Select Training Registration on the Child Nutrition Program Home page under Links. The Training
Registration screen will display.

Creating a Registration Entry
The Training Registration screen allows the user to register for a training location or modify an existing
registration if already registered.

Click Modify Registration to change to another location/session and/or change the name of the person
attending. This option will be described in the Modifying an existing Registration Entry section.
If the user currently has a User Name and Password enter it on the left side of the screen. If not, then enter
the Grant ID on the right side of the screen.
Click Continue.

Each category will display the program category, a brief description of the training being offered and the
number of locations offering this training.
Click the circle in the Choice column to select a Training Category and then click Continue. Lists of
Training Locations are displayed.

Click the circle in the Choice column next to the location for training and then click Continue.
The training locations screen displays the date, number of remaining seats available, location and time
frame of the training location.
Click on the circle in the Choice column to select a location and click on Continue to proceed.
The next step is to enter the registration information into the Attendee Information screen.

Enter the registration information in the fields provided. The red arrows indicate required fields. Click
Continue, when the form is complete to proceed to the next screen.

The following registration confirmation screen will be displayed.

Once you have completed the registration form your name will be added to the roster for the training date
and location selected. If you have entered an email address, the West Virginia Department of Education
will contact you and confirm your eligibility.
Print this screen with your Confirmation Number. You will need this number if you want to modify your
registration in the future.
If future modifications are necessary see the following section on Modifying an existing Registration Entry.

Modifying an Existing Registration Entry
Select Training Registration on the Child Nutrition Program Home page under Links. The Training
Registration screen will display.

To modify or change training location/session, and or name of the person attending click Modify
Registration.

Enter the Confirmation Number from the registration confirmation screen displayed after registration was
completed. Enter the last name of the attendee and click on Continue to proceed to the next screen.

The Registration Information screen will display, from this screen the user can print, modify, delete,
register for another training or add another attendee by clicking on the appropriate button at the bottom of
the screen.

Click Modify and follow the instructions listed above for creating a registration. Print the confirmation
screen at the end of the registration process for future reference.

Deleting an Existing Registration Entry
To delete an existing registration, click Delete. The existing registration will display with the delete
confirmation screen to ensure the user wants to delete the registration.

When Delete is clicked the following screen will appear and the attendee’s registration record will be
deleted. Clicking New on the following screen allows you to create a new Training Registration entry.

To return to the Child Nutrition Program Home page, click Home.
