CALL TO ORDER & WELCOME
Ed Brewster, WACTC president-elect, called the meeting to order at 8 a.m., welcomed those present,
thanked Steve VanAusdle and Walla Walla Community College staff for hosting the meeting and asked
for self-introductions.
APPROVAL OF MINUTES
MOTION:
It was moved and seconded that WACTC approves the March 28, 2014 minutes
without corrections.
MOTION PASSED.
TREASURER’S REPORT
Ed Brewster presented the WACTC Treasurer’s Report with an ending balance of $32,862.56 as of April
22, 2014.
ECONOMIC IMPACT STUDY
Gabriel Rench, higher education vice president, Economic Modeling Specialists International (EMSI),
presented the executive summary of the nationwide economic impact study EMSI recently completed
for the American Association of Community Colleges (AACC) and discussed the possibility of refreshing
the economic impact studies completed for the CTC system in 2010. He also provided an update on
EMSI’s data and leadership developments.

a.m. The next meeting will be May 29-30, 2014 at Edmonds Community College.
