o No major issues discussed at their past two meetings related to career services
o GED attainment, high school completion
 NCEEA – Northwest Career Employment Educators Association)
o Association dissolved?
 Women’s Program Council – Liaison needed
o No current liaison

 Admissions & Registration Council – (Katie Headlee, Cascadia CC)

 Members shared some confusion about rsvp and paying for membership
 Will be tweaked/enhanced for winter ITV meeting
Spring Joint Council Meeting – Past President (Edie Blakely)
o Planning for a two-day, joint meeting (with another council: WEC?)
 WEC currently meets May 2 and 3rd
Bylaw Amendments & the Assessment – group discussion

o Realignment of responsibilities for executive committee discussed
o Motion passed to accept revisions was withdrawn
o New amendments proposed and discussed
Strike #3 from “Meetings” in By-laws
Change #2 under “Amendments” to read, “Proposed amendments or revisions to the By-Laws
must be endorsed by a two thirds vote of the members in attendance at any meeting.”
o Motion to pass amendments sent prior to meeting and the two changes proposed at
meeting passed.

Three Year Goal and re-election for president-elect
 Anna accepted another position with SBCTC
o Consequently leaving president-elect position – need to re-elect someone
 Handout provided with Anna’s current ideas
o New president-elect can continue proposed goals or create new ones
o Major goal proposed: Building industry connections
 Stage 1 (Year 1): identify areas/industries of interest
 Stage 2 (Year 2): pilot employer panels at CESC meetings
 Stage 3 (Year 2): assess value of employer presentation
 Stage 4 (Year 2 and ongoing): maintain established employer relationships
 Stage 5 (Year 3): permanently integrate employers’ presence at CESC
 Discussion of president-elect’s role to encourage members to apply & fill vacancy
