ADDENDUM 2 TO RFP 16-03 INTEGRATED PEST MANAGEMENT
This addendum is issued as a part of the aforementioned RFP. The changes incorporated herein are an
amendment to and supersede those conditions shown in the original solicitation. The Proposer shall
acknowledge receipt of this addendum by signing this form and returning with their submittal. Failure to
do so may subject Proposer to disqualification.
Q1. Bus (Options 1, 2 & 3) – Are we to multiply by the service frequency factor? i.e.; Option 1 X 6; Option 2
X 4; Option 3 X 12 or just the per service price? (Form just has A X B).
A1. The District is looking for a lump sum price to service the buses in the intervals listed on the
proposal quotation form. For Bus Option 1, 2 & 3, Proposers must provide the total yearly cost to
service a single bus in column A. Then, multiply column A by the quantity (B) to get the total cost
(C).
Q2. Fire Ants – Do you want the per service price or the per service price Times 2? (Form just has A X B).
A2. The District is looking for a price per acre that includes two fire ant services per year.
Q3. Termite (Interior) – says per square feet? Square feet is used for soil treatments; subterranean termites
are calculated using lineal feet; and MOST interior termite quotes would be on a cubic foot basis. Please
clarify if square feet is what you want us to use to price the interior.
A3. The spot treatment is per 100 sq. ft., fumigation would be a volume basis foot cubed.
Q4. Under termites page 23 section 5.0 we have 2 questions. First question was there any tent fumigation
done at any St. Lucie County School for drywood termites? Second question is, line item 2 for termites is
asking for a price to treat termites per 100 sq ft. Is this treatment for a spot treatment only?
A4. We have schools over 100 years of age, and some under 10 years old. Some have been treated
over the years for drywood termites.

Q5. Under scope of services 3.0 Specifications line 6 states that that a certified operator must inspect each
site and confer with the project manager. Line 7 states a currently licensed, certified operator must
perform the service or accompany the technician to each site. Questions is, is it required for a certified
operator to perform each service?
A5. The certified operator must develop the service plan. Other personal operating under the
operator’s license may perform the service in accordance with the licensing requirements.
