September 2012 saw the first impact from 'Moodzone' , when visits to the area reached 138,093. The launch of Moodzone also explains the 15% rise in visits between August and September 2012, as mental health content would have been in the spotlight. Visits continued to rise in October 2012 where they were 28% higher than in September 2012. Although this can be partly explained by the general uplift seen in overall NHS Choices traffic, visits to the Moodzone pages would have impacted as they were 49% higher than they were in September 2012. Pages within the 'treatments and conditions' content area account for most visits relating to mental health content, followed by 'Moodzone' pages (planner) and tools. The most popular page in the treatments and conditions area in April 2013 was the depression page with 202,838 visits. This was followed by anxiety and bipolar disorder. During April 2013 starts of the depression self-assessment tool reached 21,347.
