CTB/McGraw-Hill has released certain information about the Test Assessing Secondary
Completion™ (TASC) to publishers so they can produce quality materials in support of
educators and learners. The following list includes information publishers have chosen to share
with CTB/McGraw-Hill about their plans, but should not be considered complete. It will be
updated to include additional resources as they are made available.
McGraw-Hill Professional:
Available at booksellers everywhere next February, McGraw-Hill’s TASC™ Test Assessing
Secondary Completion™ - The Most Authoritative Guide to the New High School Equivalency
Exam will cost $20.00.
The book contains information about each of the subtests, how they are scored, and test-taking
strategies to help examinees prepare for and think about the items in each subject area. The
book also contains a pretest and review, followed by a full-length practice test section for each
subtest with explanations.

Basics™ and Common Core Achieve™, a part of the McGraw-Hill Common Core High School

Essential Education:
The typical program can purchase the online program for $50 per re-usable seat (bulk discounts
are available) and the workbooks at a list price of $14.95 each.
Our online program provides an engaging, adaptive platform for delivering academic instruction
and has been used as a GED test preparation tool for over 10 years. The lessons are currently
being aligned with the TASC priorities and Common Core Standards with additional content
being added. Our new Essential Skills series workbooks include math, reading and
writing/language arts with science and social studies integrated throughout. The print series
works in complement with the online content. Additionally, Essential Education's Computer
Essentials Online is a full digital literacy course designed to help students master the basic skills
necessary for a digital world.
New Readers Press:
Books will be sold in 10-packs at $42.95 per ten-pack or in an eight page (one of each book) for
$34.75. Expected release date is January 2014.
