VOCATIONAL AND TECHNICAL SCHOOLS
Receive training in a specified career or trade.
Cost effective, most often at no cost while still a high school student.
Cost effective even after high school as they require only the coursework
needed to obtain a certificate in the specialty field. No, additional courses
added, such as a liberal arts college requires (foreign language, literature, extra
math, science and social studies courses).
Programs range from one to two years, therefore allowing for quick entry to the
workplace upon completion.
For students who know exactly what they want to do.
For students who desire a career in a specialty field that does not require a
degree but rather requires specified training or certificate.
21st century jobs are requiring more specialty training such as provided by
vocational and technical schools.
