Biographical Note
The collections contains the correspondence of Mrs. Ida Forrest Deeter and her son, Jospeh Bosman
Deeter. The Deeter family were residents of South Bluffton (though some is listed as Eaton) Indiana. On
October 6, 1941, Mrs. Ida Forrest Deeter was notified by the Muncie Chapter American Red Cross that
Jospeh Bosman had "entered the service of our country." The letters are written from Joseph Bosman to
Ida Forrest. These letters reveal his life of service from 1942-1944.

This collection includes papers and photographs from th Deeter family in Muncie, Indiana ranging from
1920s to 1980s regarding business, correspondence, eduction, organizations and publications.
