The war resulted in the defeat of Italy (1943), Germany (1945), and Japan (1945) by Allied military forces. Scope and Contents This collection includes catalogs and newsreels collected by Ball State libraries in Muncie, Indiana ranging from 1938 to after 1965. Newsreels in this collection include films produced by Castle Films documenting events of World War II and the presentation of those events to the United States public. Catalogs in this collection document the description of 130 World War II films deposited in the Ball State Teachers College Library by the United States Government by Ball State library staff in 1955 and after 1965.
