The content and variety of this first issue was excellent. Thanks. I've only been in the power business since 1970 and in relay protection for about thirty years. There have been a few changes over the years. One item that I think most would benefit from is a series of articles on the training of new technicians or field engineers. Since all of us baby boomers are quickly leaving we need to transfer the knowledge to the new regime. I really enjoyed the bio of Walter Elmore and the wonderful photographs from around the world. Good luck. ticles are relavent and thought provoking, a first rate job! I hope that the excellent content continues in future editions, so far your magazine has hit the mark. I think it would be very useful to have in every number one theoretical article from area of protection and control systems, because "protection people" are poor in this knowledge.. Dear PACW team, I have been very pleased when receiving your magazine, and I felt that something I looked for is there. As an electrical engineer working in a training center at a national company of Electricity and Gas, being always interested by the three domains of Protection, Automation and Control, I find it very important that someone got the good idea at the right time to deal with the PAC world at the time where a lot of people start getting confused with the new concepts applied in the fields of electric power transmission and distribution. It is true that today's engineer's background has to be wider and deeper than before, so we can have a good understanding of the global operating principles of such complicated PAC systems. As a trainer, and after more than sixteen years of experience I feel that it is time to establish new approaches to our way of dealing with the PAC World. Make sure I am ready to be an active member of the team and I would like to give an idea about my company and my country ALGERIA in the PAC World. Thanks. As most of the experienced Protection engineers are getting retired day by day , the young generation needs to be developed in this field. Fort Worth, Texas, USA This is the first time that I have read an industry magazine cover to cover and gotten something out of each article. Anyway, I wanted to let you know how much my group and I at BPA liked this magazine. Michael P. Miller, Bonneville Power Administration, USA Solvieg just gave me a copy of your first edition and I must say that this magazine is what the industry needs.
