Troubleshooting Guide
1) The training isn’t showing as completed, but I’ve taken the training.
a. You must watch the video in its entirety. The completion status bar can help you determine if you have met
the completion requirements; or
b. Remember to hit the SUBMIT button on the quiz questions after selecting their answer.
2) I logged back in after completing the training and the completion indicator is showing as incomplete.
a. The completion indicator data doesn’t automatically expire after the user has taken the training. The longer
the time period between the user taking the training and logging back in to review the completion indicator
increases the likelihood that a browser cache or cookies have been reset, or
b. a different browser or device is used, which would impact the completion indicator data memory. The
completion indicator in the training interface is a more short term tool to gauge completion requirements. The
completion certificate transmitted to the user and the administrative completion log are the best way to verify
completion status after the user has completed and closed the training.
3. Can I stop and restart the training?
a. Yes, if you log in using the same device that you started the training on, and enter the same guestbook
credentials, the system should track your progress.
4. Why isn’t the training loading?
a. The training system is compatible with Mac and PC, across all major web browsers. The training requires
the Adobe Flash plugin; outdated versions of Flash may result in difficulties loading the training. While
Google Chrome updates its Flash plugin automatically, other browsers may require the user to download an
external installer to bring their plugin up to date.
b. The training is also compatible with mobile devices, including iOS and Android devices. We recommend
mobile users access the training via Wi-Fi to ensure a stable network connection. Unstable network conditions
may prevent training content from fully loading. Additionally, a stable network connection will ensure the
user’s completion status is accurately reported back to the institution.
5. I’ve taken the quiz, but why aren’t my answers being saved?
a. In order for the system to register your quiz scores you need to select your answer and click SUBMIT in the
bottom right portion of your screen before advancing to the next slide. If you just select the answer and
proceed to the next slide without clicking SUBMIT, your answers will not be saved.
6. What happens if I don’t receive a passing quiz score?
a. You should exit your browser and re-open a new browser session. You will be prompted to re-enter your
information in the guestbook. Please ensure you are entering the same login credentials as in your prior
session(s) so the system resumes your prior session.
b. After completing the guestbook fields, the system should prompt you to “start over” or “resume” your prior
session. You should click RESUME, and proceed to the videos sections that you may need to re-review before
proceeding to the quiz. The quiz will retain any correct answers, and you will be able to click “continue” to bypass the
correct answers and retake the quiz questions that you answered incorrectly or selected by mistake. Please be sure that
you’re hitting the “submit” button after selecting each answer before proceeding to the next question.
