PETROLEUM DEVELOPMENTS I N NEW MEXICO 1974 by Roy W. Foster Open File Report 5$7 Introduction This report presents a series of tables and figures depicting statistical data on petroleum developments in New Mexico for 1974. The source of the data includes reports of The New Mexico Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, Petroleum Information, Oil and Gas Journal, World Oil, American Association of Petroleum Geologists, American Petroleum Institute, American newspaper articles. Every attempt has a report as possible. Several reports Gas Association, and various been made to insure as accurate including much of the same information a r e published each year in trade journals and government documents. The fact that no two w i l l contain the same statistical data emphasizes the difficulty of arriving at accurate information for such large and diverse enterprises as the petroleum industry. This report has not been edited to conform with standards of the New Mexico Bureau of Mines and Mineral Resources.
