Edgar Saldivar, BoyarMiller Senior Associate, Makes
Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 List
Houston Lawyer Recognized for Professional Accomplishments and Community Leadership
HOUSTON (April 4, 2012) – Edgar Saldivar, a senior associate with Houston law firm BoyarMiller,
recently was named one of the Houston Business Journal’s 40 Under 40 Class of 2012 for his
leadership in the Houston community and professional accomplishments.
“Being recognized among Houston’s top young business leaders is a great honor in light of the
tremendous achievements of my peers,” Saldivar said. “It’s also recognition of my firm’s role in the
expanding globalization of Houston’s markets by facilitating transactions between members of our
diverse business community and the rest of the world. Further, it honors the mentors and teachers for
whom I’m grateful and on whose proverbial shoulders I stand. I am truly moved and humbled to be a
part of such a select group.”
A graduate of Harvard University and the University of Houston Law Center, Saldivar joined
BoyarMiller's Litigation Group in December of 2010. His practice focuses on commercial litigation,
representing individuals and companies in a variety of business-related disputes including breach of
contract and business tort actions, disputes among equity owners and closely held corporations,
contract disputes related to the development of shale oil and gas projects, and advising foreign
investors on doing business in Texas. His proficiency in Spanish allows him to serve an international
clientele.
Saldivar is actively involved with the Harvard University Club of Houston's Schools and
Scholarships Committee, where he serves as an interviewer for Harvard. He serves on the Board of
Directors of both the Hispanic Bar Association of Houston and the National Hispanic Professional
Organization. Saldivar also is a member of the Houston Young Lawyers Association Leadership
Academy, the World Affairs Council of Houston, and the North American Kant Society. In his spare
time, he is a motivational speaker, guest lecturer, and mentor for Houston-area high school students.
