Richard Jelier, Ph.D. is an Associate Professor in the School of Public and Nonprofit Administration at Grand Valley State University. He received a dual Ph.D. from Michigan State University in Political Science-Urban Studies with concentrations in urban studies, public policy and administration and American politics. He is currently teaching Metropolitan Politics and Administration and Economic Development at the graduate level and Local Politics and Administration, Community Analysis and Comparative and International Administration at the undergraduate level. He was co-director and instructor of the London Urbanization summer program in 1999 and created the new Study Abroad Australia program in 1998-2000. He has directed of Study Abroad Australia in Summer 2000, 2001, 2003, 2005 and will direct in 2007. Kristine Mullendore, J.D., is an Associate Professor of Criminal Justice and Legal Studies at Grand Valley State University. She received her Juris Doctorate from Boston University School of Law in 1977 and worked for more than 12 years as a state assistant prosecuting attorney for the Kent County Prosecutor’s Office before becoming an educator. She teaches a variety of legal education courses and has published articles on various technological related legal issues, as well as articles about the civil rights of female inmates and legal issues in forensic psychology. She has also presented a variety of papers on the subject of legal issues relating to terrorism and attacks against radiological shipments. She has directed Study Abroad Australia in Summer 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006 and will direct in 2008.
