Chemistry is used to produce food, clothing, furniture, drugs, plastics, glass, etc. Its study is important to mankind’s health and the protection of the environment. Chemists find new uses and applications for it and study the implications of newly discovered chemical properties. Specific duties may include modeling, analysis, synthesis, research, limited fieldwork, or even sales and information management. Biochemistry is the study of the structure, composition, and chemical reactions of substances in living systems.
