Edition 2012 CORIPOL® SBL – Economical Fatliquoring Agent for Shoe Upper Features ® CORIPOL SBL is dark brown oil based on sulphonated natural fatty substances. Charge: Anionic. Light-fastness & heat resistance: Good. Handling & storage: Wear goggles and gloves during handling. ALWAYS STIR BEFORE USE and close containers tightly afterwards. Can be stored for about 1 year (from date of production) if kept between 10°C and 30°C. In any case protect from frost and heat above 35°C. If product becomes frozen, warm to approx. 20 °C and stir before use. Stability in mineral tanning baths: Not stable. Method of diluting: Stir water at 60 °C at a ratio of 1:4 into the product. Benefits ® CORIPOL SBL combines excellent tightness with good inner softness and should be considered as a multi-purpose fatliquor for shoe upper and handbag leathers. ® Leathers treated with CORIPOL SBL have a full, round & pleasant handle making it also highly suitable for the preparation of all classical shoe upper articles. Due to its good light fastness the product can also be used on white and pastel-shade leathers. Application ® When using CORIPOL SBL in the dye bath, care should be taken as it is sensitive to neutral salts in high concentrations. ® Depending on the electrolyte content of the bath, CORIPOL SBL can be used as a single fatliquoring agent or in combination with companion products such as : ® ® ® ® CORIPOL SLG, CORIPOL BZE, CORIPOL A, CORIPOL GF ® BORRON SAF can also be used to further increase stability against electrolytes. Depending on the requested article, the following combinations are recommended: Nappa: ® 1 - 3 % CORIPOL GF as pre-fatliquor ® 6 – 8 % CORIPOL SBL ® 4 – 6 % CORIPO GF as main fatliquor Box: ® 5 – 8 % CORIPOL SBL 1 Our application recommendations are in line with our present state of knowledge.
