Albany Law School Bio: Prof. Annamaria Maciocia is a Senior Professional Lecturer at Marist College in Poughkeepsie, N.Y. and teaches Introduction to Law, Introduction to Legal Research & Writing, and Real Property & Title Analysis. In July 2011, Prof. Maciocia was appointed as Director of Marist College’s American Bar Association approved Paralegal Studies Program. Her responsibilities include student advisement, overseeing compliance with American Bar Association guidelines, program assessment, assessment of student learning outcomes, coordinating student internships, and mentoring adjunct faculty. Professor Maciocia spearheaded the development of the Paralegal Professional Conference Day at Marist College. This conference provides Marist College paralegal students with the opportunity to participate in technology, ethics, and legal specialty area workshops. Professor Maciocia participates in educational programs sponsored by the American association of Paralegal Educators and has served as a presenter at both regional and national conferences. Professor Maciocia serves as the pre law advisor to Marist College students seeking admission to law school. In addition to providing a culture of support in one on one advisement sessions she also provides informational workshops, panels, and presentations for students interested in law school. In addition to being admitted to the practice of law in New York State, Professor Maciocia is an elected local court judge. She is presently serving her fifth four year term as Town Justice for the Town of Plattekill.
