User’s Guide
Introduction
Banner Faculty Load and Compensation are web-based time contract acknowledgement systems designed to eliminate loss or delays in
paper processing of physical contracts. It will allow you to log into a secure website and acknowledge salary online from any computer
with Internet Access. Your pay will then be reviewed and approved online by Human Resources and the Academic Vice Presidents
Office and sent electronically into Banner Payroll to create a job assignment for payroll processing. Faculty Load and compensation
will begin with the Spring 2011 semester for payment beginning February 15, 2011.
Timeframe and Deadlines
In order to be paid semi-monthly, it is critical that employees acknowledge their contract online in a timely fashion.

Logging On
You can access to the system through the Marist employee portal which is accessible from any computer on campus with
Internet Access. You will use your Marist user account and password to log on to http://my.marist.edu. Because of the
sensitive nature of payroll information, you should not share your ID or password with anyone. It is also important to log off
of the system when you have finished.
Open a web browser, type http://my.marist.edu, and enter your Marist user account and password.

Once you are logged on to your account, click on the Employee tab.

Access Banner Self Service
You will need to click on the Adjunct Compensation and Acknowledgment) link under the Marist Banner Services channel on
the Employee tab. See below. Adjunct & Overload Compensation and Acknowledgement

The current semester should already be in the term box
Click on the Go button

If you click on the Contract Notes button, you will see the standard
contract language that is on the hardcopy contracts pertaining to the
conditions of teaching.

Once you have reviewed your course title and associated salary,
click in the box to the right of Faculty Acknowledgment.

Next click on the Acknowledge selected positions button

Once you have clicked Acknowledge Selected Positions, ensure you see that your change was saved
successfully.

Logging Off
It is important that you log off of your web session, especially when using a public computer. Clicking the “Logout” link at
the top right hand corner of your screen will log you out of the system.
