The following information was released by the office of the Governor of Texas:
Gov. Rick Perry has appointed seven members to the Nueces River Authority Board of Directors
for terms to expire Feb. 1, 2019. The board manages floods and protects the quality of water for
the Nueces River.
Rebecca Bradford of Corpus Christi is executive vice president of Unique HR and Unique
Employment Services. She is a board member of the Texas Self Insurance Association, a
member of the National Association of Professional Employer Organizations and Rotary
International, and a past board member of the Texas Association of Personnel Consultants.
Bradford received a bachelor's degree from Southeastern Oklahoma State University. She is
reappointed to the board.
Dane Bruun of Corpus Christi is an associate attorney at Welder Leshin LLP. He is a member of
the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, Texas Young Lawyers Association, and
Maritime Law Association of the United States, and president-elect of the Corpus Christi Young
Lawyers Association. He is also a member of the Southeastern Admiralty Law Institute and
Corpus Christi Propeller Club, and a committee member of Corpus Christi Ducks Unlimited.
Bruun received a bachelor's degree from the University of Texas and a law degree from the
University of Houston Law Center.
Lynn Haueter of Corpus Christi is an educator. She is a past member of the California School
Employees Association and former member of the Screen Actors Guild. Haueter received a
bachelor's degree from The Master's College and a master's degree in education from the
University of La Verne.
Joe McMillian of Dilley is executive vice president of Dilley State Bank. He received a
bachelor's degree from Texas AandM University and completed the Graduate School of Banking
program at Louisiana State University.
David Purser of Karnes City is president and owner of Intervention Pro-Tech LLC, and a parttime teacher at Runge High School. He is a member of the American Chemical Society and
Texas Classroom Teachers Association, and a founding member of the Texas Agricultural
Lifetime Leaders Association. He is also vice president of the Karnes County Hospital District
and a member of the Karnes County Economic and Community Development Corporation.
Purser received a bachelor's and master's degree in animal science from Texas AandM
University.
Dina Ramirez of Karnes City is a board certified speech language pathologist and office manager
for a medical practice. She is a volunteer at John Paul II Nursing Home and a member of the St.
Cornelius Catholic Church Hospitality Committee. She is also a past advisory board member of
the Atascosa, Karnes and Wilson County Economic Opportunities Development Corporation
Head Start Committee and the St. Cornelius Catholic Church Altar Society. Ramirez received a
bachelor's degree from the University of Texas Pan American and a master's degree in
communication disorders from Texas Christian University.
Emily Stroup of San Antonio is an attorney at Tinsman and Sciano Inc. She is a member of the
State Bar of Texas and San Antonio Bar Association. She is also a volunteer for the South Texas
Chapter of the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation and the American Cancer Society. Stroup received
a bachelor's degree from Seton Hall University and a law degree from the St. Mary's University
School of Law.
