HLC Requirement—Student Learning Outcomes for ALL courses February 1, 2015 deadline for ALL undergraduate courses May 1, 2015 deadline for ALL graduate and professional courses Contact persons in each unit will return Excel spreadsheet to Amy Watson o The Associate Deans who are serving as the points of contact, and the Assessment Coordinators within the academic units will work with faculty who may need support to create SLOs that are measurable, relevant to the course, and at the appropriate level of development (Bloom’s action verbs / course level). Dan Stroud, Barb Glesner-Fines, and Jennifer Friend are also available to meet one-on-one or with groups to support this work. Are additional resources needed? There are new resources for creating SLOs on the UMKC Assessment website, including a link to a brief video tutorial: http://www.umkc.edu/assessment/resources.cfm Once the SLOs are submitted to Amy Watson, they will be uploaded in the Curriculum Navigator system.
