ABSTRACT
This proposal will verify the operation of the spare UVIS channel calsystem tungsten lamp. Internal flatfields will be obtained in one filter from each
of the twelve filter wheels, providing an initial baseline and comparison for those taken with the primary lamp (WF09, 11422). Filters for this
proposal were chosen based upon a balance of multiple factors: reasonable countrate with calsystem tungsten lamp (no long exposure times), science
priority of the filter, overall coverage of UVIS wavelength regime, and slot location in the wheel. Exposures will be taken in the default full-frame,
four-amp, unbinned readout mode.

This proposal corresponds to the spare lamp portion of SMOV activity id WFC3-09.
OBSERVING DESCRIPTION
A flatfield using one filter per wheel will be obtained with the spare tungsten lamp assigned to the UVIS channel, verifying operability of the spare
lamp (primary tungsten lamp and SOFA functionality will already have been verified via 11422, SOFA Test). This proposal addresses the
remainder of WFC3 activity WFC3-09 and should not be run until after 11422 has successfully completed.

CALIBRATION JUSTIFICATION
The health and flux output of the spare tungsten lamp will be assessed. Flatfield illumination patterns will be analyzed and compared to previous
ground test results to check for any changes in filter structures, vignetting within field, etc. The flux level of the tungsten lamp will be compared to
previous ground test results to verify performance of the bulb. Data may be used, if needed, along with internal flats and darks from other proposals,

to generate updates for calibration pipeline flatfield reference files.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS
Special Commanding is used to specify a non-nominal tungsten lamp. Tungsten lamp exposures need to be contained between S/C exposures, which
both specify the Special Commanding Instruction EITLAMP. The first S/C exposure is used to turn the non-nominal lamp on by specifiying
QESIPARMs: LAMPWR=ON and the LAMP=<see below>. Similarly, the last S/C exposure is used to turn the non-nominal lamp off by specifying
QESIPARMs: LAMPWR=OFF and LAMP=<same value as in the 1st exposure>. Special Commanding QESIPARM syntax to use the UVIS detector
and LAMP:
UV01 to use lamp 1,
UV02 to use lamp 2,
UV03 to use lamp 3,
UV04 to use lamp 4,
UV13 to use lamps 1 & 3,
UV24 to use lamps 2 & 4.
Exposure times assume that tungsten lamp #1 is the spare UVIS channel lamp.
