Take 9x 2 -8x = 1 and find every important point.
Same with 8x 2 -6x + 1 = 0
Graph y = 0 on your calculator and check your intercepts.

Simplifying square rootsjust like normal, but add an i.

Absolute Value
| a + bi| = a 2 + b 2
Find the opposite
-2 + 3i additive inverse is.... 2 - 3i
Adding Complex Numbers
Can only add like terms.
(2 + 6i) + (3 - 10i)
Multiplying Complex Numbers:
(5i)(-3i) =
(5 + 2i)(4 - 3i) =
Compare 4x 2 - 100 = 0 v. 4x 2 + 100 = 0
