Discover new techniques to assist in reducing/diminishing background, speeding up the assessment and statistical assistance (confidence levels) for peak picking.
Participants will record both neurodiagnostic and threshold ABRs while utilizing these various techniques.

A quick review of A&P basics of the Vestibular Reflex system leads to “bedside” vestibular evaluations. Participants will assess the impact of these evaluations in terms of falls risk assessment. Participants will practice and be participants in the evaluations, to strengthen both test administration and empathy from the patients’ perspective.
C ERUMEN M ANAGEMENT | The ABC’s of Cerumen Management

This course is designed to introduce audiologists to the science and art of inoffice cerumen management. The basic tools, techniques, and protocols will be presented, and attendees will have an opportunity to attempt and practice hands-on simulated cerumen management using various light sources.
R EAL E AR V ERIFICATION | We Like Big REARS and We Cannot Lie

Uncover time saving tips for fitting hearing aids to prescriptive targets using realear measurements. Participants will review the benefits of real-ear verification of hearing aid fittings and practice basic procedures. Participants will complete a binaural fitting of hearing aids and adjust to prescriptive target using probe microphone measurements.
T ESTING S IMULATION | The TENs and ANL…Two quick tests to incorporate into your advanced test battery.

During this hands-on session, participants will review the TENs and ANL Tests, their clinical uses and benefits, as well as get experience administering the tests in the simulation lab.

Set the stage for success for preceptors and students. During this session, we will be discussing the definition of a preceptor, effective preceptor qualities, learning and generational differences, general supervision guidelines and overcoming challenges in clinical education.

This course will consist of a panel of preceptors and students who will discuss the benefits and challenges of working clinically with AuD students. The AuD
Program at Pacific University will be described, especially the clinical components that would affect Oregon audiologists. Licensure and third party payor issues (No Coding!) associated with mentoring students may also be discussed. Audience participation will be vital in developing a well-rounded and engaging discussion.
