Assumptions (1) War Reserve Stocks (WRS) map stocks will be required to implement this OPLAN. (2) National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA) will be able to meet MC&G requirements through their established support procedures. References c contains procedures for obtaining MC&G products to support crisis situations. f. Capabilities. CFC has no MC&G production capability. 2. Mission. CFC provides MC&G products and services in support of operations in Joint Operations Area San Marco to protect US interests and assist Government of South Korea. 3. Execution a. Concept of MC&G Operations (1) General. MC&G products and services will be provided by NIMA. Special technical support will be provided by Service Component Commanders as directed. Component commands deploy with sufficient maps and charts to support 15 days of sustained operations. (2) Deployment. Service Components deploy service elements required to support MC&G operations for their forces during Phases I (Pre-hostilities) and II (Establish ISBs). (3) Employment. CFC, CJG2, in coordination with JTF Korea J2, will direct the activities of deployed MC&G elements. (4) Interoperability. Datum used throughout this OPLAN is WGS 84. b. Tasks (1) General (a) Request MC&G products from NIMA. (b) Request special products or services through CFC, CJG2. (2) CFC. Provide topographic and terrain analysis support and terrain reconnaissance. (3) PACFLT. Provide hydrographic reconnaissance. (4) 7th ACCAF. Provide aerospace reconnaissance and surveillance. c. Coordinating Instructions (1) CFC, CJG2 is release authority for war reserve stocks held for CFC contingencies. Supply and Storage. MC&G stockage and distribution IAW NIMA procedures. b. Transportation. NIMA will provide for the transport of MC&G standard products from a NIMA depot to the point of embarkation or other locations designated by service component commands. c. Support. NIMA. d. Reports.
