The Readiness Academy is NOT required for participation in honors classes in the fall but students will benefit from: Getting to know their teachers Learning how to get around the school Being introduced to the rigor and expectations of high school Honors classes Improving their ability for selfadvocacy, asking questions, and being able to articulate needs Building a sense of community through service work This summer’s Readiness Academy will offer 4 morning sessions with a focus on Honors Science and an optional community service opportunity.
