THE ROSEMOUNT HIGH SCHOOL 9TH GRADE READINESS PROGRAM
Rosemount High School is pleased to
announce the return of the Readiness
Academy; a unique educational opportunity
offered for incoming 9th grade students
taking Honors Earth with Physical Science
and/or Honors English or Honors
Government. The Readiness Academy is
NOT required for participation in honors
classes in the fall but students will benefit
from:
 Getting to know their teachers
 Learning how to get around the
school
 Being introduced to the rigor and
expectations of high school Honors
classes
 Improving their ability for selfadvocacy, asking questions, and
being able to articulate needs
 Building a sense of community
through service work
This summer’s Readiness Academy will
offer 4 morning sessions with a focus on
Honors Science and an optional community
service opportunity.

Create organized data tables and graphs
Analyze and incorporate data in
technical writing
Formulate conclusions based on research
and data
Practice AVID organization, note taking,
and reading skills to increase
comprehension of science concepts
